httpS, pop3S, imapS, Sftp and a lots more. It seems if every protocol has it's own twin version of it with the only difference that it has the mystrious letter 's' in the name. Most of the people using the world wide web have no idea why the 's' stands or why it is most important to use this version of the protocol at least everywhere where one needs to enter some private data, like name, address, birthday or logins. People from syn2cat and the Chaos Computer Club Luxembourg will unveil the importance of these protocols, starting with an overview til the application areas in the daily life and their encyrption alogrythms.
