Plan of Action

  1. Find at least two more people fully devoted to this project
  2. Assemble more information
  3. Write a letter to potentially interested people, wait for feedback
  4. Create a folder (see metalab) and talk to politicians and other influential people
  5. Get a location and infrastructure

Ideas - Brainstorming

Goal & Definition

A hackerspace or hackspace (from Hacker and Space) is a real (as opposed to virtual) place where people with common interests, usually in science,
technology, or digital or electronic art can meet, socialize and collaborate.

Financing

Wirdorange angeboten. Ein Modell basierend auf Mitgliedsschaft wurde gewählt.

(realraum.at)

Funding of the C4 is mostly obtained through the monthly member fees; 55 members (50 active, 5 passive) do their part in paying the rent and service
bills. Occasionally, donations or income from hosted events floods into the coffers of C4, and since there is always something that needs fixing or
improving, is greatly appreciated.

Draft of letter to potential enthusiasts

Our goal is to create or initiate a lieu for hardware, software, photography, film, [etc...] enthusiasts to meet and socialise.
This Hackerspace (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hackerspace) would/will be a place to meet like-minded people, engage in projects,
hold or participate in workshops, give or listen to talks, or just hang out and have a beer [Oh... ech mengen do musse mer kucken,
do musse mer schon definitiv e Club sinn, soss dierfe mer daat wuel net?!] with people that share your interests.
  • both genders
  • artistic
  • multinational
  • like other hackerspaces, vienna (thttp://metalab.at/wiki/Folder:V5a-en), berlin (), cologne () (join the cities that... no clue)
  • from metalab folder: space for free exchange of information, and collaboration between technical-creative Enthusiasts, Hackers and Founders. The Lab is dedicated to providing Infrastructure for projects and offers a physical space for interested people from the wide fields of IT, new media, and hacker culture.
  • will act as a non-profit org.
We would also greatly appreciate if you could forward this letter, talk to other people you think could be interested and get in touch with us.
Your positive feedback will help us to continue our efforts in getting things done.
