Some information

What is the workshop about?

The goal of the workshop is to teach you how you design your own circuit board using the Eagle layout software.

What will be done?

You can choose to do the voice changer, the fm transmitter (for doing some radio) or just do both. They fit together. Imagine how radio listeners react if there's suddenly a robot voice on their radio :-)

Who can attend?

Everyone. And I mean everyone, even non-members are welcome. Please send me a message to

electronics*at*hackerspace.lu

Replace *at* with the @ sign.

What does it cost

The workshop itself is free but you have to pay the material cost.

  • Voice changer: 15€ (1.)
  • FM transmitter: 7€ (1.)

(1.) There's a small donation included.

How many can attend?

Ten. The workshop will be repeated on a bi-monthly basis.

How do I become a fan of the workshop?

Just visit the facebook fanpage.

Schedule

In the workshop only the FM transmitter will be designed because the voice changer takes too much time for that. If you want to etch and solder the voice changer you get a preprinted layout which is proved to work.

  • 13:00 Presentation about Eagle (the CAD software) and PCBs
  • 13:45 Designing PCB: Schematic (from the scratch)
  • 14:30 Designing PCB: Board (from the scratch)
  • 15:15 Exposing
  • 16:15 Etching
  • 17:00 Soldering (FM transmitter takes up to 1h, voice changer takes up to 3h)
  • 18:00 Enjoyig the rest of the evening with some Club Mate and smalltalk.
