THere are many ways to optimize code on the Atari ST. We will concentrate on instruction execution time and learn to appreciate the ADDX command, used in some surprising ways. Topics * what speed has your code * using clock cycle tables on the ST * measuring in real * optimizing: how data influences speed * think around the corner * using ADDX to do bit shifting * using ADDX for fixpoint calculations The whole exercise will be on lusitaia /public/atari-workshops/wshop7 folder. This class is also suitable for newbies who want to learn some stuff about the 68000 processor.
