[edit] From your idea to the schematic
This is a workshop still in the process of being prepared and held in months when time allows. Also have a look at the workshop project page which could contain some more information.
Sometimes you might have an idea for a certain application but you don't know how to design it. This workshop will help you to understand and to dimension the electronic parts you need.
I will use the TV-B-Gone as an example application and the focus will be on resistors, transistors and LEDs. How microcontrollers and the other parts work will not be explained in depth.
Questions like these
- What is voltage?
- What is current?
- What is a resistor?
- What is a LED?
- What is a transistor?
- How do I calculate the required current/voltage/resistor value?
will be answered and you will know the theory you need to design applications with resistors, transistors and LEDs.
