First seen on haxogreen 2012, this currently features

  • 5 heavy duty push buttons
  • each button has an indicator LED
  • long cables
  • central board with arduino
  • control via USB-serial using standard beopardy

Project is to even improve more on the hardware and also review the software to make it crash proof.

Hardware

  • replace cables by RJ45 connectors
  • add microphone ports to button cases
  • add mute logic to central board with single mike output
  • document everything so to enable others to replicate the setup

Software

  • keep permanent state of current game on disk and restart after crash
  • try to figure out crash conditions
  • add "audience solved" option
  • show correct answer on screen
  • add round management
  • create our own set of verified questions
  • put all parameters into a config file
