Usually it's syn2$PROJECT, this time I decided change the habit, because BOINC is a large community project which depends on the behalf of its supporters / community members and BOINC comes literally to its community members to get some additional computing power. Probably one could turn this around over and over again and support its stand with further arguments, but computing against the usual flow of the bits and bytes are also important to keep track of its own way.

BOINC2syn

As hackerspaces are involved in a lot of scientific stuff and BOINC is a major project to support scientists computings.

Why BOINC2syn?

Usually it's syn2$PROJECT, this time I decided change the habit, because BOINC is a large community project which depends on the behalf of its supporters / community members and BOINC comes literally to its community members to get some additional computing power. Probably one could turn this around over and over again and support its stand with further arguments, but computing against the usual flow of the bits and bytes are also important to keep track of its own way.

Ideas

  • explaining and getting kids a deeper look into the matter
  • if the project is going on for a while, inviting a person(s) from the field could get interesting
