The most basic effect seen in all demos. A scrolling text.
As seen in the second workshop, a scrolltext is not simply throwing a marquee tag onto the screen. You have to do all yourself. At the end of the workshop we will have our own text crawling across the screen.
- Design of the demo: select a font, chose colors
- Include font and map letters
- important decision: overscan or not?
- Copy some letters to screen
- Several ways to do it: slow using less memory, fast using a lot of ram
- write text and display
- optionally add another effect seen in previous workshops
