Template:Workshop Science plays a fundamental role in our everyday lives and yet people choose more or less consciously to ignore what's going on at the scientific frontier. Once a month we will discuss an article in the popular scientific press, listen to lectures (on-line or otherwise) or simply watch a documentary in a friendly atmosphere.

When the topic of discussion is about one or more articles the idea is to read them before the meeting and use the time for raising points of confusion, commentary or counterarguments. The article(s) will be chosen on the syn₂cat mailing list and communicated on the blog.
