Brainstorming
We discussed some ideas at the General Assembly, like having leds. Other ideas?
How many signs? Only where ADHS has them or also near Les Thermes signs? Now that Les Thermes has 2 entries, you can't orient people anymore "drive to thermes, then...". Gunstick 15:02, 21 March 2010 (CET)
- When explaining the address, perhaps we could state that it is in front of the the Strassen fire brigade "Service d'Incendie Strassen". That is a recognizable location when you drive through the street. --Rif 14:38, 18 April 2010 (CEST)
New logo as the sign, with holes where the blue dots are. Put blue transparencies in the holes. Probably no leds needed. How to make robust against corrosion and vandals? Plasic? Need lasercutter :-) Gunstick 01:28, 9 March 2010 (CET)
We also should discuss/design in the scope of this project an orientation map. It seems it's still difficult for foreign people to find the spot. Gunstick 15:02, 21 March 2010 (CET)
House Number
We should put a house number on the outer wall to help our guests and suppliers to easily find the hackerspace. I propose to put this sign (ready to install) in the round window left next to the main door:
It could be illuminated whenever the hackerspace is open. NPU 00:11, 9 April 2010 (CET)
An old LCD screen has been transformed into a light (rip out the broken LCD panel). Needs to be fixed somehow behind the sign. The brightness is awesome, nobody will ask again where the space is! Gunstick 00:31, 16 April 2010 (CEST)
Screen fixed to the window. Please note the fancy suspension. Also a control cable is running from the screen to OpenDuino so that the sign is only illuminated when the space is open. Soon to be added: light should be off during daytime regardless if the space is open.
