::Hmm.. another approach would be: If you want to keep (archive) the page, why delete it in the first place? You could simply remove the links from the pages that point to it if it's no longer relevant and add the page to a category whose name would be, for instance, Archive. Is there any way to Archive a page?

I guess deleting it is archive enough. But then again is that the right way?
