Hx2
The plan
Hx2 is a BeNeLux hackerspace village at the 28C3 camp. Our plan is to travel together to 28C3 but on a curved line, meaning that we try to discover other spaces along the trip.
Therefore, the trip is planned for a whole week, starting on either Monday or Sunday. Here's a short overview of the places we want to visit :
- Starting point: syn2cat
- Cologne: C4, DingFabrik
- Bochum : Das Labor
- Oberhausen : Centro
- Essen : Unperfekthaus
- Hamburg : Miniatur Wunderland, Attraktor
- Target destination: Luftfahrtmuseum, Finowfurt, Germany
See the itinerary on GoogleMaps
The dates
Departure date : Sunday, August 7, 2011 or Monday, August 8th 2011
Return : Monday, August 15th 2011
The project
Question remains what to bring/show/demo at the camp? The main subject of the camp is Oasis, so everything related to that will fit right in.
Ideas so far :
- BBQ specials (food hacking)
- Doesn´t have to relate to "hacking" - We do a BBQ, there are others who will do the same! -Mich
- Cocktail Bar (with special glowing cocktails)
- Socializing in the evenings are great! Isn´t there normally a party or such? -Mich
- Sushi bar - DIY?
- Could be busy, as well as: how to handle? I don´t know how to work this out, who will be at our place and when? Because I guess, most of the time I´ll be hanging in lectures, workshops, or in the HackCenter! And TBH guess others as well! -Mich
Hardware to take
- MakerBot (2x)
- Large Pool
- Best idea so far to fit into the topic "Oasis" but remember, the space is limited! We´ve got to ask if there is enough space for such a huge pool! -Mich
- Large is here 3,70 x 0,90(height)...but we need some local hydrant or firefighters to fill this up -mArc
- LED Throwies -Mich
- Fancy stuff to be recognized, as well as finding the way back home at night, hell yeah! ;) -Mich
- Beamer -Mich
- Don´t know if this is a good idea, as these things are really expensive, but probably there could be a reason to have one? -Mich
- Tagging the Camper, for example? -Mich
- DECT Phones -Mich
- I don´t have a DECT Phone, and they could be really useful @Camp - Hope to grab one @ Space -Mich
- I could take my ISDN DECT with 2 handsets - mArc
- SolarHeater : I can take a solar powered heater, looks like sat dish and bring a few 1000C to a certain point.
LIMIT IS 200kg !!!
The mobile space
We have 5 traveling places and 7 sleeping places. Furthermore, the mobileSpace can take your hardware if needed and carry a supplementary tent. Should you be interested in sleeping in a tent, please contact us!
